Bruce Rock Engineering builds ANE tankers for Coleman

  • Posted on Wednesday 1st, July 2020.

Bruce Rock Engineering (BRE) has produced an ammonium nitrate emulsion (ANE) ‘banana’ tanker combination for the Coleman Transport Group.

The WA family business, established in 1953, specialises in the transportation and storage of ammonium nitrate products for the mining and resources sector.

ANE is a key ingredient in bulk industrial explosives widely used in the WA mining and resources industry.

The 26,000-litre capacity bottom discharge double conical ‘banana’ tankers, according to BRE, are designed to enable ANE to flow smoothly which in turn brings considerable efficiencies to loading and unloading times.

Coleman Group operates from five depots across WA and maintains a strategic network of satellite warehouse and distribution centres with close proximity to rail, road and shipping port infrastructure.

BRE is a leader in road transport equipment design and manufacture as well as truck servicing. The manufacturer's end-to-end road transport services include insurance and repairs, modifications, maintenance and spare parts and blast and paint works.

Fleets turn to BRE for excellence in design, innovation, quality and reliability.

BRE is also the Australian distributor for US-based trailer builder, Wabash National.

In May, BRE manufactured a 13.65-metre drop deck trailer featuring fuel saving features headed by lay flat ramps.

Also, husband and wife team Jamie and Kelly Belfield who own haulage company, J&K Belfield, are among a host of loyal customers who keep coming back for more BRE trailers.
