Maxi-Cube reveals latest models at Brisbane Truck Show

Maxi-Cube presented two of its latest refrigerated van models based around the company’s ‘151 improvements’ theme at the recently concluded Brisbane Truck Show.

According to Kevin Manfield, Maxi-Cube General Manager, the C Series Classic Reefer and the new drop deck lead Slide-A-Side caught plenty of attention at the Show.

“The C Series is our full-length chassis model,” he explained. “The chassis from bumper to skid plate enhances the strength and durability of the van. This particular model, the Reefer, is capable of maintaining temperatures down to -30°C.”

The company also said that while the general appearance of its products has remained similar since the Classic was originally launched a number of years ago at the 2011 Brisbane Truck Show, the product itself has continually improved, moving with the times to become more functional, economical and thermally efficient.

The new drop deck lead Slide-A-Side, meanwhile, was the result of specific customer enquiry. “The Slide-A-Side is … a hard-walled side loading trailer, giving owners increased load restraint capabilities over a curtain sider plus good thermal performance,” Kevin said.

“The particular model on show was fitted with a drop deck to give it extra volume. We also fitted mezzanine floors in the bottom section of the trailer for increased pallet capacity without the risk of damage to sensitive freight.”
