O’Phee wins seventh consecutive Show Award

Rocklea-based company O’Phee Trailers may not have celebrated a world premiere at the 2013 Brisbane Truck Show like it did on the same occasion in 2011, but the display still proved to be a crowd magnet.

Situated just opposite the giant Paccar stand and vis-à-vis the Mercedes-Benz exhibit, the ‘local hero’ again won the Outstanding Trailer/ Truck Body Manufacturer Display
Award for the seventh time in a row.

“It’s an honour to win the Award for the seventh time in a row,” said Mick O’Phee. “But of course, the vehicles on the stand are the most important thing; not just the presentation alone.”

After the successful launch at the 2011 show, O’Phee again showcased the French-inspired BoXLoader model. The Single/ B-double and road train-rated model is the result of an international collaboration between O’Phee and French company BXL, which has gained renown in the European transport industry over the past 16 years.

In their home state of Queensland, O’Phee also presented the brand’s tried and proven drop decks, container skels and versatile flat top trailers, which contributed just as much to making the stand a winner, as Mick pointed out. The award-winning stand enabled the public to examine the build quality first hand, exploring the exhibits from both above and beneath.
