The Australian Road Train Association (ARTA) will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a dinner at the Dubbo RSL Club on Saturday, 15 February, at 7pm.
According to NatRoad Director and Dubbo Events Manager and Chair of the Road Train and HPFV committee, John Morris, there is already a large number of people showing interest in the event, and he advises bookings are essential through the NatRoad office in Canberra on (02) 6295 3000.
“This is a significant milestone for the ARTA and the celebration dinner will attract people from around the country,” John said. “I advise anyone interested in attending to both book tickets and accommodation as soon as possible.”
The dinner will follow the NatRoad 2014 NSW Regional Trucking Forum titled Promoting Road Transport Efficiency and Productivity through Smart Innovation to be held at the same venue from 9.30am.
The Forum will feature a number of high profile speakers including representatives of the NTC, RMS, law enforcement agencies and government. A wide range of topics will be addressed and a panel session will look at HPFVs, tri-axle converter dollies and the possibility of operating Type 2 road trains to Nyngan in NSW.
The Forum will close at 4.30pm and delegates will attend the ARTA anniversary celebrations.
