Suburban Towing Equipment, based in Mulgrave, New South Wales, is a family owned and operated business that specialises in the supply of new and used tow trucks, heavy tilt slide trucks and bodies.
For 25 years, the business has designed and manufactured tilt slide bodies to suit various freight tasks including the transportation of cars, vans, heavy machinery and shipping containers.
The Director of the company, Aaron Barrett, says he left school in 1996 at the very young age of 15 to pursue a career in vehicle body building.
“My father had started up a new workshop to manufacture tilt trays and tow trucks,” he says. “There I completed a four-year apprenticeship and made my way into the office where I learnt CAD drawing and designing to keep up with the new ways of engineering.”
In addition to manufacturing, Suburban Towing Equipment also offers repair services to trucking companies and constantly strives to improve its products.
