Transport equipment specialist SAF-Holland has unveiled a host of innovative new products at the recent IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in Hanover, Germany.
Following the company's new “Inspired by Passion” mantra, SAF-Holland revealed more than 20 new products in Germany – including a new aluminium composite drum that can reduce the weight per axle by up to 30kg.
Looking into the future, SAF-Holland also displayed a prototype of a new carbon fibre axle, as well as new additions to the SAF Intra range – including the SAF Intra R and SAF Intra S.
“The new SAF Intra S is a greatly reduced, but extremely sturdy suspension arm for vehicles like curtain-sider trailers,” the company said. “The SAF Intra R has been developed for rigid frame vehicles like tankers and tippers. It was important to SAF-Holland that the new springs fit perfectly in the existing dimensions and the vehicle manufacturers make no changes to their chasses.”
According to SAF-Holland, all new products within the axles and suspension range have been years in development and will be gradually rolled out to the transport industry.
