SCF’s intermodal range has been designed in Australia just for the Australian market. This means its containers have been carefully engineered to maximise payload and capacity for Australian freight.
Interiors are two Australian pallets wide with optional mezzanine decks and vertical load bars to allow for double stacking of pallets. Users can store anything from 10 to 48 pallets in each container with the peace of mind of knowing that soft pallets won’t be crushed.
SCF’s fleet is also home to a range of container sizes, from 20ft Bulk Containers all the way up to 48ft Tautliners.
Equipment for all loading requirements
With freight varying greatly in size and shape, the right access can get the job done easier and faster.
SCF offers a collection of end door options (such as the 20ft Pallet Wide model) and side door options (20ft Double Side Door or the 40ft Half Height Side Door). Its Tautliner range also offers safe access from both sides of the container for even easier loading and unloading.
Security and safety built into every container
All of SCF’s intermodal containers were designed around the safety of the people using them and the goods being transported.
Its Tautliners come with an optional mezzanine deck that has a lift and lock feature so that they can be safely operated by one person using a single-pallet forklift. Each container also has multiple restraint points which are designed to keep a huge range of different types of freight tightly secured.
Restraint systems are designed for operator safety and ease of use. They range from ratchet winches in Tautliners to ladder lashing in 20ft Side Doors. SCF’s refrigerated range also comes with an internally-operated emergency hatch for added safety.
Flexibility to swap container combinations in minutes
The unique structure of SCF’s intermodal containers mean they can be seamlessly swapped between modes. In less than five minutes, a 40ft Pallet Wide Container can be removed from a skel and replaced with a 41ft Refrigerated Container.
SCF’s whole intermodal range is also designed to be compatible with standard Australian skels, ensuring ease of use with existing and new fleets.
