Southeast Queensland’s ScuzzTrans Container Transport has announced to shift its depot to the Brisbane port and expand into to the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. The company also said it will create a new cattle division.
ScuzzTrans owner Andrew McSweeney said the move to the wharf, based on five-year lease, will take a lot of costs out of the business – including tolls and fuel – while the expansion to the Northern Rivers of NSW was due to customer demand.
“We have bought a block of land in Casino which will house a depot in the region,” he said. “We will be servicing Lismore, Ballina, Grafton, Warwick, Tenterfield, Stanthorpe and Casino.”
The cattle division has began as Mr McSweeney now owns a cattle station in Tenterfield and the logical progression was to start transporting cattle as well.
