Shephard Transport Equipment (STE), based in South East Queensland, specialises in a range of custom builds including aluminium and Hardox steel truck bodies, tip-over-axle and chassis tippers and trailers for scrap metal and grain haulage applications.

STE even builds skip bins, hooklifts and scissor-lift trailers, two- to five-axle dog trailers (tipping or flat top configurations) and side tippers (single, B-double and road train) as well as road train dollies and tag trailers.

This prolific business also serves as a one-stop-shop for operators seeking Performance-Based Standards (PBS) trailing equipment and also employs a team of skilled technicians to perform a variety of tasks in the workshop including accident repairs and straightening of trailers after rollovers. The company also modifies truck chassis for different wheelbase lengths and installs a wide range of accessories.

Crack repairs and other welding work such as re-sheeting tipper floors and installing Okuslide tipper body liners are operations often carried out, along with tarp repairs, overhaul and replacement of axles, suspensions, turntables and tow couplings, and hoist repairs.

As for hydraulics, STE has full hydraulic kit installation capability for truck and dog combinations and semi-tippers including Power Take-Off (PTO) unit and pump installations and aluminium/steel tank modifications and repairs.

To cap off its holistic service offering, STE also stocks spare parts and truck and trailer components including hydraulics, fifth wheels, tow couplings, tarps, axles and suspensions.
