Team Global Express has announced several key changes to its executive team and Board.
Most recently the company appointed Dwain McDonald as co-CEO of its Parcels division.
McDonald steps into the role after spending a year as Managing Director E-commerce and International.
He will now lead the business’ Parcels division alongside Lachlan Powell – a powerhouse which includes its E-Commerce, Priority, Road and Dedicated Courier sectors.
“As Team Global Express evolves, we’re splitting into two distinct operating businesses to better serve our customers,” McDonald said.
“With a combined revenue exceeding $1.7 billion, the scale of the opportunity is massive.”
Reflecting on his time in e-commerce, McDonald said he is immensely proud of what the division achieved.
“Collectively, we grew that segment by over $100 million in just one year,” he said.
“To my small but dynamic team: you were exceptional, and that success is yours.
“I’m now looking forward to partnering with Lachlan. His deep operational expertise, paired with my commercial and sales background, makes us a formidable team.”
Prior to McDonald’s appointment, Team Global Express revealed a number of Board and executive management changes.
Team Global Express CEO and Managing Director, Christine Holgate, has assumed the role of Group Executive Chair.
As Group Executive Chair, Holgate will lead the boards of Team Global Express Australia, Team Global Express New Zealand and Strait Link, while overseeing the Group’s international expansion and pursuing its growth strategy.
Allegro Funds co-founder, Adrian Loader, who previously chaired Team Global Express, remains on the Board.
“It is a privilege to take up the role of Executive Chair,” Holgate said.
“I remain extremely appreciative of the continued support of Adrian and our shareholder Allegro, as we progress our business transformation, building Australia’s leading sustainable logistics partner.”
Meanwhile, former Chief Financial Officer, Nick Stratford, has been promoted to CEO of Team Global Express in Australia.
“This is an exciting time for our business, and I look forward to continuing to work with Christine and the Board to deliver value to our customers through an aligned team that puts our people first,” he said.
Stratford served as CFO for four years and was directly responsible for driving the company’s commercial turnaround strategy.
“Having worked by my side for nearly four years as our Group CFO, I cannot think of anyone better to entrust this important role,” Holgate said.
“Nick shares my vision for the future and has proven his outstanding ability to ensure our customers are central to our business strategy and operations.”
Stepping into the role of CFO is Uri Gordon, the former Australian Operations CFO of Team Global Express.
