Climate, distances and road conditions pose constant challenges in the Australian refrigeration transport industry.

Add rising operating costs into the equation and the business case for a new level of performance and efficiency becomes even more crucial.

One Australian company, Transport Refrigeration Services (TRS), has raised the thermal performance bar by implementing an ingenious range of next-generation truck bodies under the Thermaxx brand.

With three KPI’s of reliability, cost efficiency and longevity, Thermaxx truck bodies feature cutting-edge technology, quality materials and exceptional workmanship in construction.

“Whether you’re a national fleet manager or a small business operator, the same rules apply to your financial success,” said TRS National Sales Manager, Luke Gordon.

“You want a truck body to perform reliably day in, day out and you want it to stand the test of time.

“In today’s inflationary environment, keeping operational costs down is paramount not only to success but survival.”

That being said, Thermaxx truck bodies are engineered with an ‘every cent counts’ performance philosophy.

In addition, they result in lower operational costs on a number of levels.

Lightweight, high-strength materials are used to reduce fuel consumption, for example, and exceptional thermal efficiency maintains stable temperatures using less energy.

“This is measured by the ‘K-value’ of refrigeration effectiveness and shows Thermaxx as the industry leader,” Gordon said.

“This ability to use less fuel and less energy for stable performance delivers savings that go straight to your bottom line.”

However, a lightweight, energy-efficient and high-performance truck body is only one half of the business equation. Strength and durability make up the second half.

The renowned strength and engineering technology that goes into every Thermaxx truck body means they excel in tough Australian conditions – reducing ongoing maintenance costs and delivering more on-road time.

This construction strength also equals longevity, as a Thermaxx truck body can outlast the truck itself and simply be transferred onto a new vehicle chassis for a second life. By removing the need to purchase a completely new refrigerated body every time, business savings can be substantial.

On top of that, the longevity promise is supported by an ‘industry-leading’ four-year comprehensive warranty.

“We tell customers that if you look after a Thermaxx body, it will look after you,” Gordon said.

“With minimal repairs and maintenance required, it keeps your business moving and reduces unexpected downtime.”
