US company Thermo King has capped its 75th anniversary of operation with the introduction of a new refrigeration unit.
The Precedent model is supposed to help fleets save fuel and reduce carbon emissions at the same time.
“While the skins of the Precedent platform epitomize modern style, it is the inside that prepares the industry for the future,” said Peter Lawrence, Regional Director for Thermo King Australasia.
“The 2013 US emissions requirement became an opportunity for Thermo King engineers to develop all-new engines that comply with the strictest regulations without negatively impacting fuel efficiency – an advantage we can now capitalise on in Australia.”
According to Thermo King Australasia, the Precedent platform utilises an all-new ‘diesel direct electric’ architecture to drive “optimum efficiencies, temperature control and double-digit fuel savings across real-world applications in comparison to an all-electric solution”.
