Dubbo has hit the road with local transport companies to share the highlights that make the New South Wales city an attractive place to visit and live.
Dubbo City Council teamed with Rod Pilon Transport and Thompson Brothers Transport will promote the City's iconic qualities to thousands of people along the eastern side of Australia via the side of B-double combinations.
“Taronga Western Plains Zoo is synonymous with Dubbo and one of the top reasons people visit our City so one of the trucks features wording and imagery that depicts this element of attraction. Once people arrive in Dubbo to visit the Zoo, they are then encouraged to stay longer and visit other attractions in the City,” Dubbo Mayor Mathew Dickerson said.
Dubbo Council is now working with Robert Holmes Transport and a third design will be launched later this year. Dubbo’s Mayor thanked Rod Pilon Transport, Thompson Brothers Transport, and Robert Holmes Transport for donating space on the sides of their trucks to promote Dubbo.
Steven Thompson and Ben Pilon said their companies were proud to support the innovative initiative. “Thompson Brothers is very happy to donate the space on our truck curtains to promote Dubbo to road users. This truck will drive across NSW, VIC and QLD and be seen by thousands of people every year,” Thompson said.
