Melbourne-based demolition specialist, Dig Dig Demolition has taken delivery of a new tri-axle tipping trailer built by Bulk Transport Equipment (BTE).
The tipper is also fitted with electronic trailer steering technology developed by Dutch company Vehicle Systems Engineering (VSE), designed to give the operator maximum manoeuvrability when driving in tight areas, especially if they need to reverse the trailer onto the site.
“The remote-controlled steering of axles not only provides a saving in fuel and tyres, but also makes your work quicker and more efficient, and that’s why we are happy to keep investing in BTE’s technology,” said Bryn Lynch, Managing Director of Dig Dig Demolition. “Once we started applying it to the various residential sites we were working at, we were simply blown away by its versatility and user-friendly handles.”
The VSE system incorporates the latest digitally controlled technology and hydraulics and has no mechanical connection between the king pin and the axles. In addition, the trailer is equipped with a full plug-and-play system, and a fully pre-assembled power pack, which is mounted under the chassis.
