After three decades in the transport industry, Jackson Transport Bodies could be facing closure. Rumours about potential closure have been circulating since October. The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) confirmed that an application to wind up the renowned company based in Warragul, Victoria, has been submitted on November 22. But, it did not reveal who lodged the request.
Jackson Transport Bodies PTY LTD, commonly known as J.T.B, has been in business since 1980, supplying Australia’s transport industry with custom built trailers and specialised truck bodies for the past 30 years. ASIC’s database revealed that the process of winding up the esteemed business has commenced. ASIC is Australia’s corporate, markets and financial services regulator, established to maintain, facilitate and improve the performance of the financial system and entities in it. To date, J.T.B. has not passed a comment on the process.
