The Victorian Transport Association (VTA) has announced the provisional program for its upcoming Alternative Fuel Summit.
The event, to be held on 18 November at Hyatt Place, Essendon Fields, will feature a full-day agenda of expert presentations, panel discussions and case studies focused around the theme of ‘is the industry ready to decarbonise?’.
The presentations will be designed to help transport operators and stakeholders transition to low- and zero-emission fuels.
Highlights of the program include:
- Opening remarks from Peter Anderson and senior representatives from Viva Energy, Freight Victoria and CMV Group
- Knowledge sessions led by Swinburne University’s Professor Hadi Ghaderi and experts from Daimler Truck, Gallagher, Impact HQ and NetNada
- Case studies from Cookers Oil, DHL, Fleet Plant Hire, Viva Energy and Change Fuel Technologies, showcasing real-world decarbonisation strategies
- Legal, insurance and infrastructure insights from Hall and Wilcox, NTI, Mondo, Windrose Technologies, NewVolt and Viva Energy
- Closing remarks from the VTA and CMV Truck and Bus
VTA CEO, Peter Anderson, said the summit is a vital opportunity for the industry to come together and prepare for the future.
“The transport industry is at a crossroads,” he said.
“The shift to alternative fuels is no longer optional – it’s inevitable but will take time and require support.
“This summit is about helping our members and the broader industry understand what’s coming, what’s possible, and how to make the transition in a way that’s commercially viable and operationally sound.
“Whether you’re a fleet manager, operator, policymaker or supplier, this event will give you the tools and connections to lead your organisation through the energy transition.”
